Governance

Governance is defined as ‘the exercise of policy, control, power, rules and principles of organisations’ (Oxford Dictionary, 1974). These organisations include, for example, companies, governments, care institutions and schools.

Our firm has extensive experience in drawing up these ‘governance’ rules in regulations for a variety of organisations such as educational institutions, health-care institutions and cultural institutions. We are also familiar with the associated governance codes, such as the Code of Good Education Gov-ernance (Dutch: ‘Code Goed Onderwijsbestuur’), the Code of Good Governance in Primary Education (‘Code Goed Bestuur in het primair Onderwijs’), the Health Care Sector Governance Code (‘Zorgbrede Governance Code’) and the Culture Governance Code (‘Governance Code Cultuur’). In addition, several our civil-law notaries are active as supervisors in areas such as health care, pensions, and primary and secondary education.

We understand like no other the dynamics between the different bodies within organisations.
